This Privacy Policy applies to the Vocamemo app (“App”), developed by Lukasz Ciastko (“Service Provider”), provided as a Freemium service. We prioritise the privacy and security of your personal data.

- IP Address: Recorded to help resolve technical issues and maintain security.

- We do not collect precise location data. However, your approximate location (via IP address) may be used to personalise content and analyse usage trends.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information to:
- Provide and Maintain the App: Deliver features, such as vocabulary learning, spaced repetition, and progress tracking.
- Personalise Your Experience: Tailor content and recommendations based on your usage.
- Improve the App: Analyse usage to enhance performance.

Your data is primarily stored within the European Union. However, we may utilise certain third-party services that operate in the United States, such as cloud storage providers. If your data is transferred from the EU to the US, we will obtain your explicit consent before doing so, in compliance with data protection regulations.
Please note that while account authentication is optional, it is required to enable the synchronisation of your learning progress across devices. By choosing to create an account and use the synchronisation feature, you consent to the potential transfer of your data (e.g. account information) to the US.

The Service Provider is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your information. We implement physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to help secure the data we process and maintain. For instance, access to your data is limited to authorised employees, contractors, and service providers who need that information to operate, develop, or improve the Application.
While we strive to provide reasonable security measures, please understand that no system or method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is entirely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we continually review and update our practices to minimise potential risks.
7. Data Retention
The Service Provider will retain User Provided Data for as long as you continue to use the Application and for a reasonable period thereafter. Automatically Collected Information will be retained for up to 24 months and then deleted. We do not store any information in any form after this retention period.
If you wish to request the deletion of User Provided Data that you have shared through the Application, you can contact us at privacy@vocamemo.com, and we will respond within a reasonable time. However, please be aware that some or all of your User Provided Data may be necessary for the proper functioning of the Application, and deleting it could affect your ability to use certain features.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for users under the age of 16 without parental consent. If you are under 16, you must obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian before providing any personal data or using the features of the App that require data collection, such as creating an account or contacting us for support.
If we discover that we have collected personal data from a child under 16 without parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete such information. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us, and we will ensure the data is removed.
